The first thing that came to mind when we thought of negotiation is probably when you are out shopping in JALAN TAR or PETALING STREET doing bargains to get cheapest price for any goods. Yeah, that's right but there are more than that. Negotiation skills are unavoidable in work, relationships and in livings of course.

We had the two days session for the topic itself. I bet it might be the most important skills one should had for an effective communication. Undoubtedly, Mr Hisham had the best way to make us learned the topic. He had turned the lesson into a very fun and funny way it is!
After an experience on Public speaking with Mr HIsham, I did expect that we will have to do spontaneous negotiation at least to try out practically how to do it. But, what happened was really amazing, very melodramatic performance by the BEST participants. I could not believe that some really had talents in acting! lol
There was a task given by Mr Hisham that we had to write a story(with negotiation part) in pairs and personally can chose whoever the actor/actresses. Ours had be chosen (me and Fana) and it was simply amazing to watch Linda and Hakim nailed it. The story is about a daughter who is currently have to move into KL to further study, and find the needs to have more allowances from her father. Most of the part was improvised by both of actors. Although it is a good performance by them, there were other plays which is better than our story. I don't mind anyway, because I actually felt contented that mine was chosen out of thirties stories written on that day.
Well, the most important thing than the ONLY FUN I mentioned about negotiation skills learned are that emotions should not be involved when you are trying to negotiate.Be professional and try to reach an agreement where both parties are satisfied and try as much as possible to avoid over-ruling the other parties. There might be more that one session of negotiation, until you can reach the best decision for all.
